After years of signing great talent and producing the finest artists in the music industry, Idols SA has parted ways with Gallo RecordCompany. While this might be bittersweet for others, for us, it marked a beginning of a new era with Idols South Africa. KalawaJazmee Records signed a deal with Idols SA in Season 16, 2020/2021 and this remains a big deal for us as a record a label, because with all the years of experience we possesses, we can now develop the young, upcoming talent in the country.

Our track record clearly indicates that we make magic with raw talent and Idols SA contestants and winners won’t be any different. From working with the likes of Boom Shaka, Bongo Maffin, Mafikizolo, Thebe, Trompies, Busiswa, Zonke and Tamara Dey, South Africa can only expect the best when it comes to the talent produced and nurtured on South Africa’s biggest talent show.

Speaking about this exciting deal, DJ Oskido, one of Kalawa Jazmee’s directors said, “..We are excited to bring a Kalawa Jazmee blueprint that has produced new talent that went on to be superstars,”.

As a record label on a league of its own we did things a bit different last season, given the level of talent in season 16, we signed not only the winner but the entire Top 5. We look forward to introducing new talent from Season 17 in 2021
